This month Trish Scates is in the Realtor Partner Spotlight. Trish has been a Realtor for 28 years with 18 of those years with Keller Williams Realty DPR in Dallas and is a valued Realtor partner of The Home Inspectors. In our latest Realtor Partner Spotlight, Trish shared why she went into real estate, advice for home buyers and sellers, and why she chooses to partner with The Home Inspectors.

Why did you choose to work in Real Estate?

I was aging and felt the need to do something with myself. I love helping individuals reach their goals.

What is your favorite thing about being a Realtor?

My favorite part of being a Realtor is selling a home so the owners can move on to their next adventure and also finding that home that makes a buyer’s heart sing.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of Real Estate?

Outside of Real Estate, I enjoy watching sports, doing puzzles, playing games and being with family.

What is one piece of advice you have for new Realtors entering the industry?

Have a reserve to support themselves for a few years.

What is one piece of advice you have for anybody looking to buy or sell a home?

Most of my buyers are in a ‘want’ situation rather than a ‘have to’. I like to tell them not to settle for the first thing they see.

Why did you choose to partner with The Home Inspectors?

I started using the Home Inspectors as one of three recommended inspection services in 2014. This has been the choice of many of our buyers as well. The Home Inspectors furnish a report immediately after the inspection. That is crucial at many times. Also, they take my call and answer my questions as well.

What’s your favorite thing about our partnership?

My favorite thing about The Home Inspectors is the quick response and availability for getting an inspection scheduled.
