This month Lauren Jones with Keller Williams City View is in the Realtor Partner Spotlight. Lauren is an accomplished Realtor in San Antonio, Texas and a valued Realtor partner of The Home Inspectors. She started on the mortgage side of things and was so grateful to have that knowledge when becoming an agent. In our latest Realtor Partner Spotlight, Lauren shared why she went into real estate, advice for home buyers and sellers, and why she chooses to partner with The Home Inspectors.
I got started working in Real Estate pretty young and decided to move forward with it, because it’s something almost everyone is going to use/experience at least once in their life. I figured it was a great industry to know and that is when my love for helping people and love for seeing all the different styles, architectures, shapes and sizes of houses could combine into a career.
My favorite thing about being a Realtor is helping people achieve a goal they may have never have thought was in the cards for them. Growing up in a lower class family, I always thought buying a house was something so far down the road for me and I would be lucky to ever have that chance. After a few years in the mortgage industry, I realized that buying a house wasn’t as far fetched as I might of originally thought and ended up buying my first house when I was 23. If someone like me could purchase a house, I wanted to help educate people that they can do it too.
Outside of Real Estate, I love to spend time outdoors. Whether that be just sitting on a patio somewhere, hiking, kayaking, or camping, I’m up for it. There is so much to experience in this world and I want to take in all the natural beauty that there is. Some of my favorite places that I have been so far is going to the Rocky Mountain National Park and Zion National Park.
My advice for new agents getting their Real Estate license is be patient with yourself. Success doesn’t come overnight and it takes time to build a good client base. Stay involved with your broker, other agents, industry events and with your database. Putting in the time, effort and hard work will pay off and you will start to see results in your business.
Some advice I would give to someone looking to buy or sell is don’t be intimated by the process that it makes you put it off. The best way to get started is just to get started! Find a trusted resource/realtor to talk about what moving means to you and your family and let us help map out what the next steps look like for you. You don’t have to have all the answers right now to get started.
I found The Home Inspectors about a year ago and have enjoyed working with them since! Funny enough I found The Home Inspectors because my initial go-to inspector was busy, so I had to find another company to get the job done. Ever since then I have been very pleased with their work and haven’t looked back! They make it so easy for all parties involved to get the inspection completed and they do a great job talking to clients about the report by making it easy to understand.
My favorite thing about our partnership is all the benefits they offer to our clients! Lots of added perks to the buyer/seller that makes moving so much easier for everyone.
I would tell other Realtors that they are a trusted source and a great company to partner with!
