This month Amy Waugh is in the Realtor Partner Spotlight. Amy is an accomplished Realtor with Real Time Realty Group in Austin, Texas and a valued Realtor partner of The Home Inspectors. In our latest Realtor Partner Spotlight, Amy shared why she went into real estate, advice for home buyers, and why she chooses to partner with The Home Inspectors.

Why did you choose to work in Real Estate?

I became licensed in 2021 and joined the Real Time Realty Group. After working as a public elementary school teacher for 17 years, I knew I had a complimentary skill set for real estate. Personal connections are an important part of my life and real estate is a relationship business. With my background in education, I still get to be an educator as I guide my clients towards their goals, all while expanding my skill set. Other perks include having the freedom of building my own schedule and the excitement of continuous learning and responsibility that comes with the job. I am a full-time agent, but I now get to enjoy a better work-life balance and I’m able to participate in my son’s school and sports activities.

What is your favorite thing about being a Realtor?

The fascinating people you meet along the way from different walks of life and with unique goals. It’s like someone hands you a puzzle piece and you get to assist in finding where that puzzle piece best fits, how to get there, and what obstacles and blockers you’ll need to overcome along the way.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of Real Estate?

Gardening, traveling, cooking, yoga, and watching movies with my family.

What is one piece of advice you have for new Realtors entering the industry?

As you face obstacles, take one step at a time and utilize your network! Stay organized, communicate openly, and love on your clients. You are part of the biggest transaction of their lives.

What is one piece of advice you have for anybody looking to buy or sell a home?

Choose a Realtor you trust and stay flexible. The road towards meeting your goal is almost never a straight line, but a good agent will stick by your side and guide you to the finish line.

Why did you choose to partner with The Home Inspectors?

I like the straight forward pricing and easy scheduling. Most of all, I trust the inspection team to complete a thorough investigation and successfully walk my clients through understanding the reports.

What’s your favorite thing about our partnership?
